Sharon Yu-Hsien Wu, PhD, M.Ed, was born in Taipei and began her education in the United States at the early age of 12. Dr. Wu’s interest in helping international students make the transition to the American system began in earnest during her time as a management instructor at University of Missouri. Her desire to help international and domestic students succeed led her to cofound the U.S.- China Education and Culture Center in 2010 (www.uscecc.org) and Veritas Education in 2015. Because of her passion for education, she returned to school in 2014 and obtained a master's degree in education at the Harvard University. She has served as keynote and panel speaker at various conferences/seminars sponsored by organizations within Harvard University, Harvard Kennedy School, and MIT Sloan School of Management. She is actively involved in community service and has given many lectures on cross-cultural communication domestically and internationally to help students as well as faculty members enhance their cross-cultural competence. Dr. Wu received her Ph.D. from University of Missouri and M. Ed from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Her research interests include mentoring, cultural differences, business communication, social skills, and emotional intelligence.
