Brittney Sy, BA

Brittney Sy received her B.A. in Psychology from Boston University. Her clinical interests led her to pursue careers as a residential counselor at an eating disorder center and as a mental health specialist at McLean Hospital's in-patient PTSD unit. She became interested in Asian/Asian American mental health through these experiences, where she noticed the disproportionately small number of Asian and minority patients that receive clinical treatment. Since then, Brittney has become passionate about breaking down stigma and increasing access to mental health treatment for Asian Americans and immigrants. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Fordham University's counseling psychology PhD program, where she continues to pursue her interests in multicultural counseling and minority mental health.
